10 Best Baseball Bags (Reviews of 2019)

If you’ve invested in some cool baseball gear, there’s one other thing that should be on your shopping list… An equally cool bag to carry it in! If you’re not sure which one to choose, we’re here to help. Our list of the best baseball bags will show you how to keep your kit safe in style.

1. Athletico Baseball Bag (Our Top Recommended)

Big enough for either youth or adult players, Athletico’s baseball bag comes in a huge range of colors. From classic black with red accents, to sizzling magenta, there’s a shade to suit all tastes. There’s even a camouflage print in grey, khaki or pink.

This generous bag is styled as a backpack, and there’s plenty of room for all your gear. The main storage compartment is big enough to hold batting gloves, cap, helmet, cleats, and a catching glove. Two baseball bats can be carried in the side pockets, and there’s a separate compartment for your shoes.

There are smaller pockets too, so you won’t have to rummage around for your keys, phone or wallet.

The shoulder straps are padded and there’s lumbar protection for your back – so even packed full, it’s comfortable to carry. There’s also a fence hook, so it’s easy to hang up at the dugout.

It’s made of 600 denier Oxford fabric combined with polyster, with ventilation to stop sweaty odours. Athletico claim it will last for years, and they’re confident enough to offer a money-back guarantee if you’re not satisfied.

All in all, this is a well-designed, durable bag at a very reasonable price.

2. Easton Walk-Off IV Bat Pack Baseball Bag

Another backpack, Easton’s Walk-off IV Baseball Bag is their top rated bag – and it’s easy to see why.

First up, there’s loads of different color options. You can go for a simple all-over shade, a camouflage body with color accents, or a contrasting two-tone mix. Whether you want a feminine look, or something testosterone-fueled, there’s a style to suit.

The sleeves on either side are high enough to keep your bats secure, and each one has a zippered pocket at the bottom. They’re great for coins, keys or your phone. There’s another pocket at the base of the bag for cleats, and a small top pocket perfect for batting gloves.

The most distinctive feature of this bag, though, is the approach to carrying your helmet. Here, it’s clipped into a harness on the outside. It’s completely secure and really easy to unclip. That means you can put your helmet away between innings, instead of leaving it on the bench.

The external helmet holder also leaves more room inside the bag for other equipment.

There’s just one flaw in this otherwise great bag: there’s no dugout hook. If you want one (and why wouldn’t you?), you’ll need to buy it separately.

3. DeMarini Voodoo Rebirth Backpack

The bizarrely named Voodoo Rebirth Backpack from DeMarini is a serious-looking bag. Whatever color you choose – and there are plenty – the heavy black accents give it a decidedly masculine appearance. Our favorite is the cool red, white and blue version, complete with stars and stripes on the logo.

It’s another roomy bag with lots of great storage options. The bat sleeves are made of stretchy neoprene to keep your bats secure. There’s also space at the side for a water bottle.

There’s a separate shoe compartment to keep dusty cleats away from the rest of your kit. It’s plenty big enough, whatever your shoe size – it took a man’s size 13 with room to spare. It’s vented too, so you won’t have to worry about odors. The main compartment is huge – you’ll struggle to fill it.

A particularly nice touch is the pocket for your cell phone. That’s lined with fleece so you won’t have to worry about any scratches to your screen.

It’s easy to carry too. The shoulder straps are well-padded and comfortable. And when it comes to the dugout, there’s a durable J-shaped hanging hook that folds away when not in use.

It’s a little more expensive than some, but still great value for a quality bag.

4. Easton E110BP Bat Pack

Easton’s E110BP Bat Pack has a distinctive take on the rucksack design. With two angled pockets in contrasting fabric on the front, it really stands out from the crowd.

For the style conscious player, we recommend the snow camo design. If you’re looking for something more girly, check out the “Blurple” version. Whichever one you go for, you’ll really look the part.

But what about the features? There’s a large main compartment with plenty of room for clothes, gloves, helmet, mitts and balls. Then there’s the sleeve on either side, allowing you to carry two bats safely and easily.  Dirty shoes get their own compartment, and it’s big enough for even a man’s size 13 cleats.

One thing to bear in mind, though, is that filling the shoe compartment will compromise the space in the main section. So if you have big cleats and a lot of equipment to carry, this might not be the best choice.

The fabric is tough enough to last more than a season, and there’s a dugout hook for convenience. Plenty of padding on the shoulder straps means it’s comfortable to carry too, even when full to the brim.

To sum up, this is a great bag for T-ball players, or those around 7 or 8 years old. Bigger options will work better for older players.

5. FavorGear Baseball Bag

FavorGear’s baseball bag isn’t the flashiest on the market, but it’s an economical choice with plenty of features.

Available in a single color, black, it’s well made in strong 600 denier Oxford fabric and polyester. The combination makes it strong yet light, and there are two robust metal zippers to the main compartment. Extra bar-tacks wherever the seams come under stress mean this is a bag that will go the distance.

This is a great size for a youth player. The main compartment will comfortably take a helmet, together with a couple of mitts, a baseball and a softball. The lower compartment is designed for dirty shoes, and you can fit your used kit in there too. And there’s a sleeve on either side to keep up to two bats secure.

There’s also a small zipped pocket, perfect for a phone, keys or wallet. Or if you prefer, it’s big enough to hold some gloves.

Although less expensive than other backpacks on this list, the straps and lumbar region still have good padding. Even when the bag is full, you won’t have to worry about it digging painfully into your body.

This isn’t the world’s showiest baseball bag, but it’s every bit as good as far more expensive options.

6. Boombah Rolling Superpack Baseball

If you prefer a rolling back to a backpack, check out Boombah’s Superpack. You’ll be spoilt for choice with no fewer than 42 colorways. Our favorite is the classy navy and Vegas gold combo.

The rolling design means you won’t have to lift a heavy bag onto your shoulders. You also get more space than with a backpack. This will hold four baseball bats, and there are two reinforced J-hooks for hanging it on the dugout fence.

In the main section, a sturdy divider attached with Velcro can be used to create a separate section with front access. It’s a great place for storing shoes or dirty kit.

Alternatively, fold the divider out of the way for a larger single space. Then it’s big enough for a helmet, fielding mask, 2 adult gloves, and a youth glove. And you can fit in a set of thin rubber bases and at least 15 softballs too.

Some rolling bags have straps as well – this one doesn’t. You’ll have to drag it along, even in muddy terrain. On the plus side, the heavy-duty wheels will stay stable when the going gets tough.

7. Rawlings Sporting Goods Velo Back Pack

This backpack from Rawlings features an external helmet holder, great for freeing up space in the main section. It’s a key selling point, but make sure you try it before you buy. The helmet holder isn’t the biggest, so check that yours will fit in comfortably before you commit.

There are some really great design touches with this bag. The main compartment has two neat pockets for your shoes, keeping them out of the way of your other kit. Velcro strips on the front mean you can attach and release your gloves quickly and easily.

Open up the separate compartment at the top and there’s a customizable valet tray. Neat sections keep your valuables safe and secure, while a zippered pocket at the back is perfect for your cell phone. And with padded dividers, there’s no danger of your keys scratching your MP3 player.

There’s even a separate padded compartment for your laptop or tablet.

A sleeve on either side will hold up to two baseball bats. If you’ve only got one bat, use the space for a water bottle instead. And an external hook allows the bag to be hung on most dugout fences.

8. Easton 510W Wheeled Bag

If you’re looking for a bag to hold a large amount of kit, consider Easton’s 510W wheeled bag. It’s got loads of space, and you won’t have to be a champion weightlifter to move it when it’s full.

An update on an earlier design, the 510W has rubberized pullers and heavy-duty wheels to keep it stable on muddy terrain. The bottom of the bag has been reinforced to made it more durable and prevent bulging.

Inside, there are vented pockets to help sweaty kit dry out faster and reduce odors. And the shoe panel is removable, allowing it to be embroidered with the name of your team. The pocket along the bottom is plenty big enough to hold four bats securely.

There are straps too, so you can carry it up steps or over muddy fields if you need to.

9. Louisville Slugger Select Stick Pack

This neat, high quality backpack is great for little league players. You may, though, find the dual bat sleeves are a little too small for older players.

Set that to one side and there’s lots here to get excited about. It’s a good-looking bag, available in lots of colors and with a removable area to customize with your team name.

The well-padded straps are counterbalanced by handles at the front, making it easy to maneuver. The main section opens up locker-style, so reaching all your equipment is simple. Inside, there’s a fleece-lined pocket for your valuables, and outside, a durable fence hook for the dugout.

Add to that a separate, water-proof compartment for your shoes, and you have a great all-rounder of a baseball bag.

10. Under Armour Undeniable Bat Pack

This is a neat backpack, available in royal blue, grey, scarlet, navy and black. It isn’t too bulky, but there’s still plenty of space for your kit.

There’s a bat sleeve on either side of the bag, and a spacious main compartment. There’s also a front pocket, and a top section perfect for your phone or other valuables.

Perhaps the biggest advantage of this bag is its all-weather credentials. It’s made of Storm DWR and it really is weatherproof. Anyone dealing with an all-day tournament in the pouring rain will appreciate its ability to keep their kit bone dry.

On the down-side, the J-hook is inexplicably on the inside. That means you’d have to have the bag open to hang it up. You can deal with this by adding a carabiner to the loop on the outside.
